The situation
Where It Started
Riverview Accounting Partners is a bookkeeping, clean-up and CFO practice in Nyack. Its Google listing was doing the work and the website was not. The old site on GoDaddy's builder had no phone number on the home page, no image descriptions, no canonical tags, and an Analytics tag that pointed at a different account, so it had never collected any data. The office email runs through the same domain settings as the website, so the move had to happen without a minute of lost mail.
What we built
- Five main pages, written from the owner's own words: home, about, services, reviews and contact
- A move off GoDaddy's site builder that left the domain's email records alone
- The phone number on every page, and client reviews in text Google can read
- Structured data for an accounting service and the questions clients ask
- Search Console and Analytics set up in the owner's own account, with the contact form counted as a lead
Reading these numbers properly
- The search positions are from the first ten days after launch and rest on very few searches: 6 impressions for the first term and 10 for the second, with no clicks yet. They show where the site is starting to appear, not a result.
